Kevin Sands

Kevin Sands is a seasoned performer, composer, and guitarist known for his unique left-handed playing style on a right-handed guitar, inspired by artist such as Elizabeth Cotton and Karl Wallinger.
A skilled harmonica player, Kevin began his
musical journey in childhood, writing his first song at 15 and making his stage debut at the Northern
Lights Folk Festival in 1975. in 1977 he joined the very popular Earthshine Band, touring Western Canada and recording a live album at the Bessborough Hotel in Saskatoon.
Throughout the years, Kevin has worked extensively as a performer, session musician, sound engineer and producer. He has written and recorded two original album projects — The Courting and Ascending — and continues to perform a wide repertoire of original music and covers from artists like Bruce Cockburn, Tom Petty, The Eagles, Jackson Browne, Steve Earle, and John Mayer.
Now based on Vancouver Island, Kevin remains passionate about sharing his
music and connecting with audiences.
